IP Telephony (also called VOIP, Broadband or
Internet telephony etc..) is the transmission of voice conversations
over the Internet or through any IP-based network. Once setup you
can use the IP Telephone to receives calls from your services (Call
and Group Divert) with no divert per minute call charges you can
also make calls at normal outbound rates.

The main features of IP telephony are:

Talk to other IP Telephone numbers without
incurring call charges.

Inbound calls from any number can be diverted to
a IP Telephony device free of charge

Dial any phone number making use of our
discounted rates.

Outbound call recording can be set on any or all
IP Telephones

Caller ID is configurable, it can be set to
withheld or any live number on the account.

You have an IP Telephone device or may be a
headset (speakers and mic) and some software, this converts your
voice into a form that can be transmitted via the internet (or
network) to another person with or without a IP Telephony setup.
- Virtual Switchboard (IVR System)
Prompts the caller to select an option from
those offered, then runs the service associated
with the selected option.
- Answer Phone Service
Captures a message from the caller, which is
stored in a mailbox. Alerts can be generated by
email or SMS of messages left. They can be
retrieved via email, the phone or the web.
- Company Information Line
Plays the caller an announcment. All
announcements/prompts can be changed, via the
web, uploading files or recording via the phone.
- Call Diversion
Diverts the call to a single telephone number -
the number may be UK, mobile or international.
If engaged, not answered or rejected then the
call may be put through to voicemail. All calls
may be pre-announced.
- Group Divert (ACD)
Sometimes called a “hunt group”. Diverts the
calls to multiple numbers. Can hold callers in a
queue while listening to a choice of on-hold
music until extension available. Virtually all
aspects can be configured, e.g. changing the
queue size, time held in a queue and on-hold
messages etc.
- Fax To Email Service
Captures a fax from the caller - the fax is
stored in a mailbox. Alerts can be generated by
email or SMS of messages left. They can be
retrieved via email or the web. Fax services can
be attached to any other service using the
auto-sense fax handling.
- Call Conference Service
Participate in call conferences - two types. For
a simple, no account required, service just dial
0871 277 5055 to include up to 30 participants.
Alternatively set up a specific service on any
number type – 30+ participants, speakers and
listeners, full web control.
- Call Forward and
Record
The Call Forward and Record service is aimed at
companies or individuals who need to record
outbound conversations they plan to make. A
mailbox can be defined and set against the
service and this specifies how the recordings
will be treated once they have been made as part
of the call.
- Time of Day
Dependent on the day of the week and the time of
the day, a different service can be run.
- Caller Select
Tailor your services to provide personalization
for each caller.
- PIN Entry
In conjunction with our other services PIN can
be used to secure answer phone mailboxes, or to
restrict access to recorded information or
technical support telephone lines.
- Call Transfer
Allows the operator to transfer diverted callers
to external numbers, extensions and other
services on the account
- Announcement Recording
All Callagenix services have the ability to play
prompts (announcements) and a selection of music
to your callers. You have complete control over
virtually everything your caller hears when they
call your telephone service. As with all your
services changes can be made anytime, as often
as required, at no charge.
- Statistics, Reporting and Call
Data
The Callagenix online reports gives you access
to a wealth of statistics that can guide the way
in which you structure and use your telephone
services.
- Supervisor Functions
Callagenix provides sepearet account logins that
have resrticted facilities for the management of
mailboxes, extensions etc..
- Custom Phone Services
Callagenix services satisfy most requirements.
